Light Phenomenon

Light Phenomenon moves in the borderland between landscape and abstraction – a place where light, water, and land seem to emerge and dissolve.

The painting is built up in several layers of acrylic paint and texture. The surface subtly changes depending on the viewing angle and how the light falls over the work. Some details emerge while others recede, allowing the painting to be experienced differently under the changing light of the day.

A small solitary figure stands in the landscape, creating a sense of scale, while the narrative is left open to the viewer.
