My paintings exist on the border between abstraction and reality.
I explore the invisible forces that shape the world around us — the wind that forms the clouds, the water that carves the stone, and time leaving its traces in wood, rock, and memory.
Through layers of texture, light, and subtle transitions between abstraction and form, I invite the viewer to pause, imagine, and discover what lies beneath the surface.
As human beings, we never truly know the depths of meaning that lie behind all that we see.
ARTIST STATEMENT
After many years of painting realistically, I felt it was no longer enough. I was painting only what I could see, striving to reproduce it as accurately as possible. Although I appreciated the discipline it required, I longed to express something that could not be captured simply by observing the visible world. I wanted to release the inner world that exists beneath the surface of what we see.
I want my paintings to exist on the border between abstraction and reality. Like someone seeing the world through blurred vision, the viewer may not immediately recognize what they are looking at. Instead, they are invited to imagine, remember, and complete the image themselves. Perhaps it is like a dream or a memory that has almost faded away, yet still remains somewhere within us, quietly waiting to be rediscovered.
As human beings, we never truly know the depths of meaning that lie behind all that we see.
That thought has become the foundation of my artistic practice.
My faith has deeply shaped the way I see the world. It reminds me that what we see is rarely the whole reality, and that there is a depth beyond the visible, waiting to be discovered.
Rather than painting objects themselves, I am drawn to the invisible forces that shape them — the wind that forms the clouds, the water that carves the stone, and time leaving its traces in wood, rock, and memory. To me, these are not merely landscapes, but quiet witnesses to something greater than themselves.
Through layers of texture, light, and subtle transitions between abstraction and form, I seek those moments when the visible begins to dissolve into the unseen. I hope my paintings leave space for silence, imagination, and personal interpretation, allowing each viewer to discover something that may already have been there, waiting beneath the surface.
