About the artist

Nina Björk

I am a Swedish contemporary artist working primarily with painting.

My work moves between abstraction and landscape, where atmosphere, light and presence become part of the image. Rather than depicting specific places, the paintings explore a sense of space, memory and quiet movement.

I work slowly in layers, allowing texture, surface and subtle shifts to shape the direction of each piece over time.

Alongside the paintings, I also develop longer narrative projects where image and storytelling meet.
